Attributes of Teacher Training as Catalyst
- Emphasizes the importance of place –Provide teachers the opportunity and financial support to visit historical sites as a crucial investment in their teaching perspectives
- Provides intensive teacher training –Create bonds and build relationships through a multiday training trip with colleagues from other schools; include tribal members, historians and project leaders
- Assures informed understandings from dual perspectives –use multiple first- person resources
- Sustains communication at frequent intervals post-training –Prompt participants about project responsibilities, deadlines and available resources; check in to see if help is needed
